Dr. Blake is a staff psychologist at the Austen Riggs Center. Dr. Blake earned his undergraduate degree in psychology at Michigan State University, including completing an internship at Kids Company in London, England, focused on providing alternative treatments for at risk youth and adolescents. Dr. Blake completed his masters and doctorate at the George Washington University and a predoctoral internship at The Sisters of Mercy Hospital-Marian Center in Springfield, Missouri, where he provided crisis psychotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and psychological testing from a psychodynamic perspective. Dr. Blake completed his postdoctoral Fellowship in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Psychoanalytic Studies at the Austen Riggs Center. Dr. Blake is currently interested in better understanding the therapeutic process of psychoanalytic psychotherapy as well as psychodynamic understanding of groups, organizations, and leadership.
