Riggs Opens “Hospital on Main Street” Centennial Exhibition
On Saturday, May 25, the Austen Riggs Center hosted more than 100 invited guests at 48 Main Street in Stockbridge at an official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for its centennial-year exhibition, “The Hospital on Main Street: Human Dignity and Mental Health.” The exhibition marks the 100th anniversary of Riggs, chronicles its founding, and explores its place in the history of mental health treatment and research. - Nancy Fitzpatrick, former owner of the Red Lion Inn and Chairman of the Main Street Hospitality Group
- Jane G. Tillman, PhD, Evelyn Stefansson Nef Director of the Erikson Institute and the Riggs Exhibition Project Director
- Adam Hinds, Massachusetts State Senator (D-Pittsfield) in his second term representing Berkshire, Hampshire, Franklin, and Hampden counties
