Livia Shepard is the social work coordinator at the Austen Riggs Center. In this role, she provides administrative support to the social workers to aid in day-to-day functioningby maintaining up-to-date records, assisting with event planning, and communicating with patients and their families to coordinate scheduling and other needs.

In her previous roles in developmental services, she managed individual care as well as the daily functions of a community-based day program. Within these roles she worked closely with individuals, families, care providers, and the state to ensure a high quality of care and programming while maintaining a variety of records in alignment with state regulation.

In her spare time, she enjoys singing, playing guitar, reading, and spending time with my friends and family. Liva loves being in nature and recently took up gardening to encourage herself to spend more time outdoors. She also has a host of creatures at home that keep her company and make her everyday life more fun: her dog (Cassiopeia “Cassie”), two cats (Enola and Earl Grey), and two ducks (Lady and Toast).
