Donate to Riggs

Your financial support and generosity make it possible for the Austen Riggs Center to offer the high level of clinical excellence in patient care, research, and training that it is known for. Without the support of caring individuals, businesses, and philanthropic foundations, we simply could not help as many patients in desperate need or share our mental health expertise with the broader world beyond our Stockbridge campus.

Important News for Donors in 2020

One of the key provisions of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act that was signed into law on March 27, is the Charitable Giving Incentive. The new rules allow for a deduction of up to $300 of cash contributions, whether you itemize you deductions or not. They also increase the limitations on deductions for charitable contributions by individuals who itemize, as well as corporations.

For individuals, the 60% of adjusted gross income limitation is raised to 100% for 2020.

For corporations, the 10% limitation is increased to 25% of taxable income.

For more information on how these incentives may work for you, we recommend you speak with your tax advisor.
