Dr. Steve Ackerman and Colleagues Win First Place for Research Poster

Steve Ackerman, PhD, MBA, ABPP, and colleagues at Alliant International University (Carlos G. Oliveira; Autumn Miller; and Matthew R. Baity) were awarded first place for their research poster, entitled “The Impact of Object Relations, Personality, and Cognitive Functioning On Changes In Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy,” at the annual American Psychological Association Division 39 meeting held in New York City, April 26-29, 2023.

Their study utilized Riggs Follow-Along Study data to illustrate positive changes in self-reported symptoms, personality traits, and interpersonal functioning using performance-based measures over the course of psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
