Naming Opportunities and Endowed Funds
A strong endowment is the financial backbone of organizations such as the Austen Riggs Center. As our endowment grows through prudent investments and new donations, so does our ability to serve our patients, undertake new research, develop new programs and plan confidently for the future.
Endowed funds are managed professionally to grow, preserve principal and generate income to support our work.
There are several opportunities to make gifts to our endowment:
With a gift of $100,000 or more, you can establish a named fund within the Austen Riggs endowment dedicated to a specific purpose, such as research or financial aid, or one whose income can be used where needed the most. A minimum gift of $1 million is required for naming opportunities in recognition of endowed gifts. The naming of public spaces, buildings and portions thereof are reserved for those contributing major gifts in excess of $100,000 and with Board approval.
With a gift to endowment of any amount, you can designate your gift for a specific purpose or help us build existing endowed funds that support aspects of our work. Examples include support for: the fellowship program (Ess White Fellows Fund); patient aid (Patient Aid Fund); research (Knight/Brunie/Perlis Fund); and an annual lecture (Yasmin Roberts Memorial Fund).
