Riggs Clinicians to Present at American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA) National Meeting
The vision of the American Psychoanalytic Association (APsaA), which is the oldest national psychoanalytic organization, is to “envision a world in which psychoanalytic knowledge advances human potential and relieves suffering.” The Association actively promotes this vision through professional education, research, scholarship, advocacy and public relations among other avenues.
This January 14-18, APsaA will hold its 2015 National Meeting, bringing together more than 2000 attendees for five days of psychoanalytic programming, networking and stimulating content for mental health professionals, educators, researchers and students who are curious about psychoanalysis. Riggs is honored to have several of our clinicians participating in the APsaA National Meeting this year. Our clinicians’ expertise is crucial to the unique residential treatment offered at Riggs for individuals who suffer from complex psychiatric issues. Meetings such as this offer an opportunity for that expertise to inform the broader base of psychoanalytic knowledge and provides our clinicians an opportunity to learn from other colleagues in the field and bring that knowledge back to Riggs.
