40 hour, Monday - Friday
Job Summary
The person in this position assists with the establishment and maintenance of a centralized medical record system, providing accurate, timely and secure medical records in compliance with all applicable Austen Riggs, Dept of Mental Health, Joint Commission, and other regulatory agency standards. The person in this position will also provide assistance to other departments occasionally, as needed.
Qualifications include:
Associate degree with a minimum of two years administrative support experience; Bachelor’s degree and previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • Medical Records experience is preferred.
  • Ability to pay critical attention to detail and written data.
  • Ability to work under stress, tolerate interruptions and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people and maintain patients’ rights at all times.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Word and Excel and must be experienced in use of office equipment, to include copiers, fax and microfilm machine.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to lift, walk, climb stairs, reach, bend and pull. May require sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to move intermittently throughout the shift.
