The Erikson Institute , the educational, research and application arm of the Austen Riggs Center, is pleased to announce its interdisciplinary and educational offerings for 2014.
On Friday and Saturday, May 16 and 17, the third annual Riggs-Yale Parenting Conference will take place at the Austen Riggs Center. Jointly hosted in conjunction with the Yale Child Study Center and the Yale School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry, this year’s theme will be Early Adversity and Developmental Psychopathology.
On Saturday, July 26, the fifth annual Erikson Institute Prize for Excellence in Mental Health Media will be awarded. The Prize is presented to winners at a colloquy where they present some of their recent work. Past winners have included writers, reporters, filmmakers, researchers, magazine editors and contributors to such prestigious media outlets as National Public Radio and The New York Times.
Saturday, August 2 is the date for this year’s Creativity Seminar. This year’s theme will be Creativity and Translation, with details to follow early this year.
The dates have also been set for the Erikson Institute’s annual Fall Conference – Friday and Saturday, October 17 and 18. More information will follow as it becomes available.
The Friday Night Guest Lecture Series will continue monthly, through May (click here for lecture dates & details) , take a break in the summer and resume again in September.
