The Austen Riggs Center is proud of its dedicated staff, people with diverse talents and skills devoted to our mission of helping patients with treatment-resistant disorders become people taking charge of their lives. The following employment opportunities are available at the Austen Riggs Center:
- Psychiatry applicants must have completed a psychiatric residency.
- Psychology applicants must have a doctoral degree in psychology from an APA approved program and a year of clinical internship an a APPIC listed site.
- Application  for both tracks of the Fellowship program must be received by January 10 for Fellowships beginning in the summer.
Elective in Psychodynamic Psychiatry 
Medical students eligible for this rotation will already have completed a core clinical rotation in psychiatry. One or two medical students at a time are invited for a rotation that is up to eight weeks in duration. Residents in psychiatry may also pursue rotations up to eight weeks in duration.
Manager of Institutional Research 
The Manager of Institutional Research is responsible for maintaining day-to-day operations of our Research Department, including coordination of our Summer Intern Program. Additionally, the Manager assists the Principal Investigator in data collection, management, and organization of research projects.
Nurse Educator 
The Nurse Educator is a key leadership role with responsibilities within a scope of functions that span clinical, consultative, administrative, and educational issues. The Nurse Educator is responsible for the integration of patient care and the coordination of interdisciplinary staff members to deliver a consistent professional high quality of care to our patients. Responsibilities include organizing patient educational presentations and staff development seminars. The role encompasses interdisciplinary communications, nursing, leadership and systems applications.
Kitchen Assistant 
The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for dining room set up, serving, and sanitation, as well as assisting in the kitchen with meal preparation and cooking.
Administrative Assistant to Clinical Staff 
The Administrative Assistant to Clinical Staff provides comprehensive support to the medical staff, directors, and Center programs, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations of the clinical work environment.
