The following employment opportunities are available at the Austen Riggs Center:
Fellowship for clinical psychologists and psychiatrists in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Advanced Psychoanalytic Studies 
- Psychiatry applicants must have completed a psychiatric residency.
- Psychology applicants must have a doctoral degree in psychology from an APA approved program and a year of clinical internship an a APPIC listed site.
- Application  for both tracks of the Fellowship program must be received by January 10 for Fellowships beginning in the summer.
Medical students eligible for this rotation will already have completed a core clinical rotation in psychiatry. One or two medical students at a time are invited for a rotation that is up to eight weeks in duration. Residents in psychiatry may also pursue rotations up to eight weeks in duration.
From May to August 2015, the Austen Riggs Center will engage a small number of Research Interns to work on a variety of projects. Internship start and end dates, and weekly hours worked, are flexible and can be determined per the applicant’s availability.
Research Interns work on projects with members of Riggs clinical faculty and under the overall supervision of the Manager of Institutional Research. Projects may include research and inventory with archival medical materials; literature searches; writing scientific/medical research summaries; and data analysis.
We are seeking per diem Mental Health Workers and/or Staff Nurses. Staff in this role are responsible for the provision of a safe and growth promoting community environment at the Inn. The focus is on the establishment of a therapeutic relationship that maximizes the dignity of individual patients through support of their healthy, adaptive functioning consistent with cultural, spiritual and age-specific considerations.
We are seeking a community staff person to work 30-40 hours per week. The person in this position will work with patients and staff to develop and facilitate groups and activities aimed at building and fostering participation in this innovative, dynamic therapeutic community program that supports treatment and enhances human development through group engagement and the recognition of patient authority.
We are seeking a full time digital community coordinator to work as an integral member of the marketing and business development team as we launch the Austen Riggs online clinician/professional community site.
Staff Nurse 
We are seeking a full time staff nurse to work 32-40 hours per week. Nurses are responsible for the provision of a safe and growth promoting community environment at the Inn.
