Ann Murray, Ph.D., completed her BA in Art History at Dickinson College, and her MA and Ph.D. in Art History at Brown University. From 1974 until 2010, she was on the faculty of Wheaton College, Norton, MA, where she was Director of the Beard and Weil Art Galleries and Professor of Art History. Her courses spanned 19th -21st century art and included seminars on Vincent van Gogh and contemporary women artists, among other topics. Ann is currently working on a biography of Ruth Lynda Deyo (1884-1960), a prodigy pianist, composer, visual artist and synesthete whose bouts of depression and mood swings led her to spend the winter of 1912-13 in Stockbridge under the care of Austen Fox Riggs.
