Directions

Stockbridge is situated at the junction of Route 7 and 102 in western Massachusetts. The drive from New York City, which takes approximately three hours, is best made via the Taconic State Parkway to the Route 23 Exit (Hillsdale, New York). Drive east on Route 23 to Route 7, (Great Barrington, Massachusetts), then eight miles north on Route 7 to Stockbridge. From Boston, take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) to Exit 2 (Lee, Massachusetts). At the exit ramp, turn left onto Route 20 and then right onto Route 102 west, five miles to Stockbridge.

By air, Bradley International Airport in Hartford, Connecticut, and Albany Airport in New York, are the most accessible airports. From Hartford, take I-91 North to the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90), then west on the Turnpike to Exit 2 (Lee, Massachusetts). At the exit ramp turn left onto Route 20 and then right onto Route 102 west, five miles to Stockbridge. From Albany, take I-90 East to Exit 2 on the Massachusetts Turnpike, then Route 102 west, five miles to Stockbridge.

The Center is located in the center of Stockbridge on Route 102 (Main Street), diagonally across from the Red Lion Inn. The Red Lion Inn is the most convenient and comfortable hotel for visitors to Riggs. Advance reservations are necessary for this charming accommodation (413-298-5545).
