Nursing care is available 24/7 at the residential setting of Austen Riggs.  Every patient is assigned a nursing care coordinator who is also a member of the treatment team. Nursing staff member, Brian O’Gara, discusses the role of nursing in a three part video series.

In Part 2, Brian outlines some of the unique aspects of the Therapeutic Community.  The patient community at Riggs is invited to work with the staff to solve problems of mutual concern and to create a safe, respectful and engaging environment for treatment.  Brian also reflects on what he enjoys most about working at Riggs.

Check back next week for Part 3: Activities Outside of Therapy at the Austen Riggs Center.
