Austen Riggs Center Clinicians Presenting at APA Division of Psychoanalysis (39) 36th Annual Spring Meeting
The Austen Riggs Center is pleased to have several members of its clinical staff attending and presenting at the American Psychological Association (APA) Division of Psychoanalysis 36th Annual Spring Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, April 6-10, 2016.
The Division of Psychoanalysis is the 39th division of APA. According to their website, “With more than 3,000 doctoral level psychologists, graduate students and allied mental health professionals, it is one of the largest associations of psychoanalytic professionals and scholars in the world.”
This year’s theme is “Hot and Bothered: Coming Together Without Falling Apart.” In their welcome note in the program, Spring Meeting Co-Chairs William A. MacGillivray, PhD, ABPP, and Stefanie L. Speanburg, PhD, LCSW, express their desire to get this year’s attendees “engaged in exploring how psychoanalytic thought, theory and practice is an essential part of an examined and engaged life.”
