Austen Riggs will Hold a Benefit Dinner and Silent Auction to Raise Funds for Patient Aid

The ability to help individuals take charge of their lives is at the heart of the Austen Riggs Center’s mission. With a strong emphasis on both personal responsibility and the importance of human relationships, we are one of the only psychiatric hospitals in the nation to offer long-term, in-depth psychodynamic treatment in a completely open setting.

In today’s world of rising healthcare costs and decreased insurance coverage for treatment, we understand the profound impact of financial limitations on a person’s decision to choose Riggs. That is why one of our priorities is to dramatically increase the resources we have available to patients who need financial assistance. 

On Sunday, April 21, 2013, Riggs will be holding a benefit dinner and silent auction to raise funds for patient aid at the renowned Blantyre estate in Lenox, Massachusetts. Guests will enjoy cocktails and a delectable meal prepared by Executive Chef Arnaud Cotar, while also having the opportunity to bid on some incredible once-in-a-lifetime experiences, from week-long vacation rentals to a private tour of the Kennedy Compound. Through the generosity of Blantyre owner Ann Brown and the many friends of Riggs who have donated items for the auction, all proceeds from the evening will directly benefit patient aid.
