Fitness Center
Research is increasingly demonstrating that exercise promotes increased energy, elevation of mood and mental health. Even light exercise can relieve emotional stress and anxiety and regular exercise improves sleeping patterns and increases strength and endurance.
The Austen Riggs Center’s Fitness Center includes strength training machines, free weights, elliptical machines, treadmills, and stationary bikes. A state-of-the art-sound system, flat-screen televisions, and space for fitness classes are also available to all patients.
