Accreditation

The Austen Riggs Center is accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health (DMH). The Center's Continuing Medical Education Program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and its one-year advanced psychiatric residency program is accredited by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

The Joint Commission

The Austen Riggs Center is accredited by the Joint Commission. The Joint Commission's standards focus on organizational quality and the safety of patients and their treatment environment.
